I just found some old MX keycaps from a typewriter and was wondering if any of you guys had an experience typing with EXTREMELY low profile keys.
-
Can you post pictures?
-
Yeah give me like two seconds.
They aren't cleaned yet so they look kinda off
-
Here is an imgur album of them all dumped out on my desk, I'll clean/sort them if I decide to sell them.

They are doubleshots made by Cherry. They are Cherry profile.

Wow, really? I had no idea cherry profile was so low. I guess that's why they are kind of like a niche market around these parts

I don't think Cherry profile keycaps are a niche market. Tonnes of people swear by Cherry, GMK and BSP keycaps (all Cherry profile). Even DCS (the profile that most custom keycaps sets are made in) keycaps from SP are very close to Cherry profile.

Neato. I guess I'm just used to hella tall caps. I wish I didn't have a fullsize board so I could slap these guys on give them a spin.

What have you been typing on?
-
Lel I'm currently on the Elton GB doubleshots, which are like twice the height of these typewriter caps
-
Are those QWERTY or QWERTZ? I've been looking for some more Royal caps after I got my green deysub Royal Alpha caps. The Beta and Gabriele/Gabrielle, like yours should have come off of are nice.

I'll print out one of those sorter sheets and find out tomorrow

That's a nice set of caps :) I'll be getting my first Cherry profile caps in when Ivans black PBT GB is finalised. Can't wait :D
