Title: [WTS] Sony GDM-FW900 monitor

Hey there,

I’m selling this bad boy Sony GDM-FW900. It's noted as one of the greatest CRT's ever made. It has an aspect ratio of 16:10 with a native resolution of 2304x1440@80Hz. This beast weighs 92 pounds so shipping really isn't an option unless you’re interested in working out a deal with crazy expensive shipping.

So a quick bit of backstory, I bought this monitor from a good friend back in December, whose dad had bought it refurbished in the early 2000's. He said his dad hardly ever used so his dad gave it to him. My friend had only been using it a little over a year before he sold it to me. I’m selling it now because I'll be heading off to college soon and really don't have space for this big mama in my dorm room.

I play TF2 at 1440x720@158Hz; the 2:1 aspect ratio gives higher FOV in that game. But you can use NVIDIA control panel to create just about any resolution.

$400 $325 - Austin, TX, local pick up.
My friend has told me he's willing to drive it out ~4 hours for me, but you've gotta meet at least halfway and pitch in some for gas for the favor.

Someone buy that g400! Easily the best FPS mouse out there, and now they are discontinued. My g400 died and Logitech is sending me the g400s...hope the angle snapping isn't detrimental. Good luck selling!

thank u sir for clarification.i didn't know there was 2 version.it looks like a great deal with 50 dollar until I see other member post saying f--: and trying to just rush like he is a seller. the whole reason for writing the post about my purchase condition was so seller would lower the price.its a process so that both wud benefit at getting right price .

in no way I was trying to anger u ,it's your product u can put price whatever u want.i just got the wrong information not knowing there was 2 model.i didn't know u had the superior 99 dollar product.i was confused with the cheaper model which the other member pointed out.your original 55 dollar asking price is also very fair when u paid 99 dollar.sorry for confusion I'll delete that post.

If i could buy the Fw900 i would. I have two in my room right now.  One burnt out after 12 years of being used constantly, and I want to die before my last one does, lol.
Best monitor ever, a huge beast, but worth every penny imo. Wish i lived closer! I'd make the drive from like Az or California, lets put it that way!

free bump for tf2 players and for this gorgeous monitor.  sold mine last winter to the NE College Of Optometry for research.   

 I'd buy it in a heartbeat if you were local...miss that beauty. 

Now I've got my eyes on the Sony BVM-20F1U for old school console gaming perfection  :p

Oh boy another Austin person! I thought we were few and far between.

This is a great monitor, I know it well. Like any CRT it may need repairs or calibration at some point. Good luck with the sale!
