Hello GeekHack! ;D

I've been a lurker here for a while. I've seen all these custom caps people have here, and I want to make my own.

I've read about making caps, from http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=23722.0 and http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=46284.0

I will buy materials soon, and I am thinking of possible designs to make.

For the more experienced cap makers, what essentials would you suggest a newbie like me to buy?

I can't wait to begin! :p
