The Geekhack forums have been recommended yesterday on Qwerters' clinic (see 2009/02/15 update): http://park16.wakwak.com/~ex4/kb/

I don't know if this is the announcement sandy referred to in his message and can't see how this could be related to him leaving though.

Sandy, your post is quite cryptic, but thanks for all your help, it's been great to have you around! ;)
