Methinks the solution to dealing with these yellowface scumbags and the executives, is to 'Stand Your Ground' with a few of the NRA's finest machineguns when you meet them. They make a move, say you feel threatened by their racism, pull the trigger. These descendants of slave owners and Nazis need to be beaten into submission before they will respect you.

When I studied in the US, there were still white people who boasted that their ancestors owned x slaves. It seemed to be some kind of status symbol back then.

I often hunt grouses in Ontario. Better meat than a typical grocery chicken!

Not that I support slavery, but back then Slaves were rather expensive, and you needed a lot of them to manage your land. Therefore, if you had a lot of slaves, it meant you had a lot of money and a lot of land, so it was a symbol of wealth.

I do think they stepped out of line. Only way I think this could be worse is if they portrayed people of African descent rather than those of Asian descent like this.

Also, to own a true machine gun, you have to have a special license and a lot of money. Most of us just go for Semi-Automatic.

I like Famous Grouse whiskey.

Also the word "grouse" in Victoria means something really good.  As in "That's a grouse keyboard you have".

I like Famous Grouse whiskey.

Agreed, it's a good budget blended scotch.

HIMYM is a cheesy unfunny and poorly written show anyway, so I see no difference.

Back in 1950s "the south"?

Methinks you need to step back and look at your hypocrisy

LOL....

I'm not worried about these things...

If something like this becomes the seeds to war between USA and East Asia... so be it...

In the end,, it's us little people that suffer.. while the bankers live it up.. on all the death and violence...

That's life, and I accept

There are many Bollywood movies that are equally bad...

Edit: I just saw the HIMYM episode...
I see the episode more as a homage to old cheesy Kung Fu-movies than anything else.

If the three teachers would have been portrayed by some random white people trying to act Chinese, I may think that the article writer would have a point, but they were actually played by three of the five lead actors, which was a plot point in itself. All people who were supposed to be Asian were played by real Asians.

Also, the three teachers were not in any sequence supposed to look real, but in a colourful story told by one of the characters, and as interpreted by another character according to that second character's imagination. As such, any stereotyping in that story is a reflection of the second's character's own bias. That character is often portrayed in this TV-series as having outmoded prejudice about a lot of things, so it would only make sense if he imagined the three teachers as stereotypes.
