Title: FC660M Caps
Post by: reziak on Sun, 19 January 2014, 02:07:04
Hey all,

I'm considering buying the FC660M (I love collecting these 60% boards!) and was wondering exactly which caps are non-standard - Is it just the right Shift? I thought I read somewhere about the spacebar being weird, but it looks like a standard size to me. Thanks for the help!

Should specify that I'm interested in using my GMK white/beige set with RGB mods (2 left Shifts). What I'm most concerned about is making sure the spacebar works.

The spacebar length is fine, but the stems are oddly positioned.

Thank you! I just found a white space bar on qtan's site that he says is FC660M compatible!

I'm thinking of piecing together an RGB set from the Cherry profile mods at EK. They're slightly different colors than the standard RGB sets I've seen...anyone have any pictures of them, by any chance?

here is a photo showing difference between the EK colors (out of order RGB at top) vs traditional underneath. EK colors are more 'vivid' shades of green and blue.

The right shift is off, and the bottom row has an oddly shaped winkey to fit the arrow keys. The stem on the spacebar is off, as well, as mentioned before.

The profile on the caps is lower than OEM, but very similar to Signature Plastics' profile.
