Title: Need Help With Changing Keycap Colors and Adding New Lettering
Post by: mguerena on Sun, 19 January 2014, 10:26:44
I would like to take a keypad with white keys and dye them black. I have been able to see how to do this from directions on the forums. What I couldn't find is how to get the lettering to be created on the keys. I would like to keep the letters on the keyboard standard but change the function keys on the top to ones that are specific to the iPad. How do people go about adding symbols and other lettering to a dyed keyboard?

Appreciate any expertise that can be shared.

It is very difficult to dye sub your own keycaps, you can try offering the suggestion to have Ipad lettered keycaps here: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=53430.0 and see if anyone else is interested. I've seen some stickers around that people have used for lettering their keycaps, but nothing Ipad specific, and are very typical of what you'd find on a ANSI layout.
