So I have the HHKB Pro 2 and eventually I'll need to clean the keycaps because I am a fat mongoloid neckbeard with disgusting fingers.
now what brand of denture cleaner should I use? does it even matter what brand? I've searched the threads and found some people using it but I just want someone who has actually done this
to chime in on it

I've done it a lot of times. I use 2 tablets of efferdent for ~50 keys, 3 tablets for 104 keys. The more the better.
Warm up the water, put caps into water, submerge them, drop tablets into water, wait 30 mins, rinse with cold water, and then set out on a paper towel to try. Let it dry for 3 days to ensure that they are dry so tiny bits of water doesn't drop into the board later.

You have a HHKB?

Thanks guys but I'd really only like to hear from people using either the HHKB or PBT caps
-
I have used pbt keycaps for quite a long time, I usually just use a wet towel to clean it
-
I believe Model M has PBT keycaps.
I have successfully rinsed my two sets with denture tabs - they came out very clean.
-
Does it matter which brand? I'm in the US
-
I use a couple tabs of polident to clean my HHKB caps. The brand probably doesn't matter much, I picked the stuff up at wal mart.

I don't. But it doesn't really matter if its HHKB caps or cherry caps, the cleaning process is the same. BTW my experience is with both ABS and PBT caps (Cherry PBT, Osium ABS, Model M 122 PBT, SP ABS)

Here's a post (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=258988) where someone cleans his HHKB keys with denture tabs.
