New member here, planning on my first mechanical keyboard (apart from a model M I used to have).
Anyone know if the Filco TKL Aluminum Case, made by Vortex, will fit a WASD v2? I know they both use the same board, but are there any appreciable differences between the internals, like plate thickness, that might be a problem?

Thickness shouldn't be an issue. They should be compatible.

I wouldn't risk it, seeing as those vortex cases aren't exactly the highest of quality according to some members. IIRC somebody recently said they had to remove the stand offs on the LEDs so the case could close.
Not worth it for the price imo.

If the controller doesn't hang down on the bottom half of the keyboard, it's possible.
However, you need a Universal Plate (this means desoldering every switch), and you also need a way to mount it in the case, which isn't easy. My adapters are probably the best method (I think the thread is in the group buy section).
As for the case, the first batch was terrible, second was better (which is what I have), and the third better still. At this point, they should be fine, besides, it's not like there is a lot of alternatives.

It seems to be a hit or miss with the vortex aluminum cases. It's getting pretty hard to find nice aluminum cases for tkl boards now.
