Title: Experiences with low profile cases?
Post by: naasfu on Tue, 21 January 2014, 19:53:06
Hey guys,

Can anyone please share their experiences with low profile cases, especially for 60% boards?  Do you get them just for keyboards that will live on a single desk and not be moved around, or have things been durable enough such that you can carry them around in a backpack or something?

I've got a Poker II ordered, and those Tex aluminum low profile cases are so purty and really tempting.  I like the style of exposed switches and keycaps, but I'm a little concerned about whether switches and keycaps are going to get snapped apart easily when inside a bag.  I've found some old threads about carrying cases and what not, where people range from plastic grocery bags to hitman-style briefcases.  :))  I'll probably put the keyboard in a separate, simple bag inside a backpack, but nothing bulky or really padded, so I'm wondering if that'll be ok.

Thanks  ;D
