Title: Troubleshooting Rev B GH60 problems.
Post by: bueller on Thu, 23 January 2014, 22:06:09
Okay so I've got my GH60 all soldered up and I've got a few keys I'm having trouble with. The backslash key doesn't seem to register when pressed but when I short the switch to the diode it registers fine. What would this indicate? I've desoldered it and even replaced the switch just in case but the problem still persists.

Then I've got the left ctrl and windows keys which don't seem to register no matter what I do, tried shorting the switches to their respective diodes but no luck what so ever.

Any ideas?

Did you solder SMDs yourself? Or did you buy it presoldered?
Have you tried reflowing the diodes corresponding to the switches which don't register? Have you tried shorting the microcontroller pins corresponding to not working switch directly with each other?

The schematic might help: [attachurl=1].
