Recently I have purchased a SteelSeries 7G Black MX Cherry full N-key rollover and for gaming, it absolutely rocks, but I hate it for anything else like typing and scripting etc. So I'm looking for an alternative and thinking of buying the Filco 104 N-keys with brown Cherry switches.
I also happen to have an old Apple Extended II and Adjustable Keyboard with ADB-USB converter and did an A-B comparison with the 7G and don't like the Apple II much for FPS gaming due the delayed 'non-linear' response but I really like the Adjustable. My question is: how does the brown Cherry feel compared to the non-clicky Adjustable switches? Does it have the same response or is it softer and less tactile? Some don't like the brown Cherry for gaming, but I need an all-round keyboard and willing to sacrifice some of the cons both switches offer.
So my question is what kind of switch is used in the Apple Adjustable Keyboard and which 'modern' switch / keyboard does compare?
UPDATE
geekhack wiki says they are Alps-click but I still don't understand if they're also linear -with click. At first I felt no click but now it's mentioned I only notice a very small and soft click on release. Are they linear with click or what? I do like the Adjustable for gaming, so how does the brown Cherry compare to this Alps-click?
I should call this topic: "Brown Cherry vs White Alps-(linear?) click and pro gaming?" :) O M G

I don't have anything to add here, but I was wondering if you ever got a brown cherry board and how you would compare it to the black cherries for gaming.
