Title: Thickest ABS keycap?
Post by: Pac Caps on Sat, 25 January 2014, 20:03:12: What's the thickest ABS keycap that you know of? I need some to make some caps. Is GMK the thickest or are there others?

As kmiller8 mentioned, SP SA is the thickness ABS (as far as I know).
Perhaps because it has dual-layer.

Post by: Findecanor on Sun, 26 January 2014, 07:50:19: On a Cherry MX switch, you can not get much thicker than GMK or original Cherry Corp/GMBH. keys or the keycap will not fit on the switch.
Many older keyboards with very thick keycaps also have longer stems, so that the keycap does not go over the switch housing the fully depressed like with Cherry MX.

Actually although he mentions GKS, he does not say why he wants to know. Whether the intention is to purchase a set of these keycaps for use on a particular keyboard, to buy a set to melt down (getting maximum plastic for money), to use as a basis for some keyboard science, or other (please specify).
