Title: Originative 55g or 45g springs?
Post by: CatNip :3 on Mon, 03 February 2014, 02:30:11
Hey, GeekHack!
I'm thinking of getting a MX Red keyboard and modding it with lighter springs and lubing them. However, I'm not sure what spring would work better for Reds. Has anyone had any experience with them?
Thanks in advance. :)

Although I don't have personal experience with the different springs, by looking at the force diagrams the 55g is very similar to normal Red/Blue/Brown springs.

According to the force diagram on their website, 62g is just slightly heavier than MX light springs (blues, browns, reds), while 55g is a bit lighter and 45g is significantly lighter.
