Hi guys,
It's been a while.
I was just wondering what color you prefer and why.
Thanks!
-
(Insert smart ass "no LEDs" comment here)
-
A true purple would be nice tho.
-
White leds for sure :)

White leds for sure :)
+1 for white.
Yeah, I'm boring that way but I don't have to worry about them clashing with my keycap colors hehe
-
Blank keycaps, no backlight. ;)
-
White leds for sure :)
Especially if the LED color changer covers work well. http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=51126.msg1123782#msg1123782

LED zeppelin
-
I like white too, it's classy.
What do you guys think about green? I heard it's easier on the eyes than the other colors, especially at night.
-
prefer orange to white...
-
Orange/Red
-
White, Green, Blue in that order :D
-
1. Green
2. Red
Because... I have a lot of other green LEDs on my monitor, mouse, PC, etc., so green lighting on the keyboard appeals to my sense of symmetry. And red because I find it's restful when typing in dim light.
White - too harsh
Blue - jarring, worse than white
Yellow - just cannot get used to that color, looks like a warning of something about to fail catastrophically.
-
Red and White since it matches my setup nicely, if neither are available then no leds :)
-
Blue on my ducky!
And blue on my phone too!
-
I like the Cyan/Turquoise LEDs but I've only seen em in a few places and for outrageous prices
-
Purple/UV - I like everything purple.
Blue and White always look good to me. Cyan looks promising as well.
A real purple would definitely be nice though.
-
Amber / Dark Blue
^^
Look best with Cherry sets IMO
-
none? but if i had to have LEDs on a board i would guess white or sky blue. they would go well with aluminum cases.

I chose white! It lights up any color cap great!
-
White then purple then red :D
-
Warm White.
-
Blue, Teal/Cyan, then White.
Though like people said Teal/Cyan is impossible to find and cost an arm and leg if you try to make it yourself.
:P
-
+ 1 To those whom said blue. Especially blue on black, when done right it just looks smexy:

White also looks nice but it is too common/popular. Have a look at those Macbooks for instance.
-
I went with Green.
Thanks for all the advice and giggles.
-
Just white i think any suitable the keycap
-
white ftw
-
1. Blue/Green - In that order. Purely for looks, these can get too bright for me, so I don't utilize them all that often to be honest.
2. Red - These are in my experience, very gentle to the eyes and look quite good as well.
-
1. Green
2. Green/Green
3. SUPERGREEN
-
White :)
-
For backlit, i prefer the neutral one
+1 for white ;)
-
Purple, I like red too.
-
+1 white and if it's different day caps on top of leds to get other colour;)
-
Orange, always
-
None. Less is more.
-
None. Less is more.
False, more is more
-
White if we ever get LED color changers.
For actual colors:
Purple
Orange
Yellow/Amber
Red
Green
...I love all them :p (Except Blue)
-
1. Green
2. Green/Green
3. SUPERGREEN
Heh! :))
-
A true purple would be nice tho.
Seriously, I am with you there...
and maybe a truer yellow that is really yellow...
-
None. Less is more.
False, more is more
Would you rather boink a 500lb heifer, or a 110lb smokin hot chick? Too much extra detracts from beauty, it doesn't add. If you like backlighting then cool, but to me you might as well add a strobe light and sound to the board. Actually, that might be an idea, having a keyboard that is also a keyboard. Insert Xzibit meme here. ROFL.

I don't know. 110lbs is a damn big chicken. But then again when you're already comparing heifers to chickens it kind of seems like a lose/lose situation.
Also my favorite LED color, still green :)
-
1. Green
2. Green/Green
3. SUPERGREEN
What's the difference between these greens?
I mean, do you have access to some different kinds of green LEDs or what? I like green too, and have a Model M keyboard with several shades of green on it. But I can't imagine a backlit keyboard with several shades of green.
-
White for the flexibility or nothing :)
-
Actual purple, not pink
Red, for low impact on eyes
White, for color changers... & only if there's good control of brightness
-
Blue! And here's why...

There are lots of LEDs out there with varying shades of certain colors, but I was just referring to green in general :)
It really depends on the board though. I could see doing a few different colors on some of my other boards.
-
I say multi-dimensional white light, because it breaks up into not just the colors of the rainbow, but also into "imaginary" colors.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imaginary_number
Using this math any dimension can be extrapolated into another one. D+1 etc. I really like the concept of infinite extrapolation.
Too keep the answer simple:
Pure White is best for the reasons already stated.
;)

1. Green
2. Green/Green
3. SUPERGREEN

Another vote for white. My MBA has white backlit and I like it.

Aaaaaand I still have no idea what supergreen is.
