Title: Key Pullers
Post by: pexon on Thu, 06 February 2014, 12:35:06
I am interested in getting a nice new key puller, something that will not damage thin ABS caps. I have seen some cool turned metal ones, does anyone know where I can pick one up from? Classifieds?

how are you damaging keycaps with a puller? holy moley you guys must go Conan on your caps.

then again i dont really do crappy caps so maybe that is why i havent had to deal with issues like this.

I haven't damaged my keycaps, I simply want a quality puller that will not put any undue stress on my new AT101W caps

Only problem with those MKC ones were that alot arrived with bent parts, but i think they were straightened out pretty easily.

Those plastic keypullers (those without a wire) can scratch your keycaps, which is especially bad for backlit keycaps as they just have a thin coat of paint on the outside.

I don't know, my wire keypuller screwed up a couple of my GMK keycaps. It dug into the edges of some of them.

Yeah, Alps are tough to remove. Use that keypuller!
