Great find!
This is getting really good, I am glad they were able to partner with cherry.
Now release the mx greens and linear greys!
Feel the burn, I have 120g springs on the way that I plan on putting in some black switches down the road.Great find!
You flatter me with such praise :)This is getting really good, I am glad they were able to partner with cherry.

◾Actuation Force: 80g
Cherry MX Gray switches are the best cherry switch for typing. The tactile bump can easily be felt, and the resistance is similar to your average keyboard. Although many people find them just fine for gaming, some don't like the fact that the release point is above the actuation point. This can cause some trouble with double-tapping. This is usually the case with someone who has experienced other mechanical switches before hand. As a note: this switch actually has a peak force of 80g at the point of actuation. This is due to the design of the Cherry switch itself.

Best for gaming AND typing? Kappa.jpg
Aren't these kind of heavy?

Haha, I have been wanting a super black for awhile now. But maybe I just need this
It'll never happen, from what I gather super blacks were only one 1-4 keys on just a couple keyboards, all of which seem to be expensive and hard to get.Feel the burn, I have 120g springs on the way that I plan on putting in some black switches down the road.Great find!

So what are peoples opinion on these switches, good, bad, painful? I can't remember seeing anyone with them on a board.

It's for REAL MEN to use only.
If you don't have a wrist please don't apply to use them. Grey's are rare as hens teeth but well worth the purchase. It's basically BS on steroids and every bloke would want it because it's what you want to own to prove that typing needs to be a workout or go home type of mentality :thumb: .
I want one.......
So manly ::) Wait until you have a RSI or carpel syndrome. Then, you'll be REALLY manly.

YES the pain is GOOD ! You need to know you are alive and that keyboard makes sure that you feel every bit of it. What's wrong with feeling a bit of discomfort for long term gain?
I agree, but only if the pain is for being one with the 55g rubber cup. Topre is worth it.
Feeding "cherry mx stems" into Google -- looks like the clear and grey stems are identical.

Does it mean that the sole difference is in their springs?
Can anyone who owns both tactile grays and clears speak up? Also please let us know what are the differences in spring weights.
Here's a picture from Ripster's album. Does the bump look more pointy on the grey?Looks to me like there's a bit of light halo on the clear, like on my picture. In real life they looked equally sharp to me.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/fAA8e.jpg)

Hey fellow Aussies I'm planning to order a pack of 110, open for group buy to save shipping cost, I could ship from Sydney at much lower cost
Vader, is it possible for you to put brown springs in both the clear and gray switches? See if you can feel a difference in tactility.sure. I put 'em back together, but I can do that.
in vancouver? i'll split an order with you, any size is fine.Ontario...
huh....that odd. i swear i was talking to Zeal when I made that post...need to stop replying when so tired lol.
Feeding "cherry mx stems" into Google -- looks like the clear and grey stems are identical.Got some grey's today and I can confirm that the stems are identical to clear stems. The only difference betw. the two is the spring, heavier than a MX green or Korean 80g.
Can anybody with a real tactile gray-populated keyboard speak up and tell us how it feels like?
I have linear grays and was planning to use them in a project but would prefer tactile over linear. My goal is to get keyboards that are stiff or heavy enough for my liking, without actually being so stiff that I can't type properly. Maybe it is my delusion, but my buckling springs always seem stiffer than my clears.
strangely, when I used my friend's 55g Topre (sold one for him recently on gh), I felt as though it was heavier than clears at the point of actuation.
