Title: Opinions topre realforce VS HH (will result in purchase)

Hey all.
I won a reasonable some of money today!!!!

So I am going to treat myself.
I will go for (I think) a realforce in black or a black HHP2. (I have the white one)

If anyone else can think of anything as sexy then LMK. Has to be without the numpad, price not really an issue! (please dont say optimus)

Congrats. I'd go for the Topre with the red escape and all the other nice stuff.

Edit: What about the ergo Topre that has been mentioned lately, the uTRON?

I did not know there was a Topre ergo.
That sounds very appealing. I will do a search for it now.
Otherwise I think Black realforce with a lid will do the trick nicely!!

You seem to have no problem with JP layout keyboards, so, how about Topre "capacitive compact" MD01B0?
They actually aren't that rare, and the Diatec online shop have them in stock (that does not mean they are inexpensive, though).

So is the black realforce 86 available anywhere in the US layout?
I cant find it in any of the usual places.

by the way didnt xs compare hhkb and realforce recently?  He has both of them if you want to pm him a question ;)  I think he said one was a jaguar and the other a bentley ;) But he did find them different in subtle ways.

Realforce 91UBK and Dharma DRTCKB91UBK (and HHKB2) are the only black tenkeyless models available, and there's no black 86U, at least in Japan.
I don't know but maybe some Korean stores have them?

Im thinking as the black one is out of stock to just go with the white space saver realforce in the US layout.
Where is xsphats comparison?

what are these creatures you speak of? ;) I cant seem to find them whenever I put on my headlamp and typing-bra and go looking.  ;)

lol! well in my defense I have to say it really does work very well (particularly when you have a desk as crowded as mine is ;)  It saves me pain in my neck too (I used to have to crane my neck to the side to read books as I type (when typing in long quotes for instance). But ya, its definitely a niche device ;)

I have had women over who have complimented and loved my Happy Hacking Lite 2...

Maybe they will love even more the Happy Hacking Pro 2 that I have on the way...

As the owner of both, I'd say I prefer my Realforce a bit more.  Was actually considering selling off my HHKB for another Realforce.
