Title: Paintjob
Post by: ianxblog on Fri, 07 February 2014, 12:48:36
Hello.

I want to paint a keyboard blank white.

The board and the keycaps.
They are not PBT or anything, regular plastic.
Laser engraved infilled.

Is there any prodecure I should do before painting?
I'd be using spray paint for plastic, is this ok?
Would it be sticky?

Thanks.

I would advice against painting keycaps. It may look good at first, but the paint will wear off with use.

If the board has Cherry MX switches, then there are several options for replacement keycaps that are blank and white.

Yeah, please dont paint the keycaps, you will regret it.

You can get cheap blank white pbt keycaps from banggood for 17 or do dollars shipped although the shipping is slow.
