Looking to buy 5-10 vintage Alps tee switches from an Apple M0110/A to replace the caps lock locking switch in mine. Name your price here or PM me! Thanks.

Hydrospell is an absolute pleasure to deal with. If you're hesitating to sell to him because you'd have to ship internationally, don't!

Thanks riot! ;D
Anyone?

Hi Hydro,
Give me a little bit to check through my stuff. I think I have a spare M0110 I could salvage from switches from, but it would be a bit before I had time to desolder them. I can't even see my workbench at the moment ;)

Awesome. Thanks for posting. I'll bug you every now and then...

Ok, I found my old parts M0110. Send me a PM and we'll work out the details :)

Did this go through/ would one from an AEKII work?
Because I've got one parts board which somehow has blacks now except for that one caps lock switch. I can't think of anything else I need that one in particular for.

I think these are different from the 'vintage' tee-shaped alps in the M0110. The switches from the AEK II are probably compatible with the IIgs keyboard.
What do you mean by 'blacks'? Black coloured alps switches?

That is what I mean, I must've swapped them out at some point. Since you can open up alps without desoldering, I've done alot of messing with internals.
-
Did you get the switches you were looking for? I have a whole bag of them already desoldered...yes, the vintage tee mount (white stem) variety.

Hm, so you were able to put these switches (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Alps_vintage_tee_mount) into the AEKII? Interesting. I might try that with my IIgs keyboard one day ^-^

Thanks for offering guys, I'm waiting for a PM from Wildcard to confirm he can send his to me, otherwise I'll get in touch with you guys. By the way I'm only buying let's say 10 switches max, so if you're not comfortable with breaking your collection of switches up I understand. This is more like a looking for spare parts to fix my one off M0110 project kinda thing.
Thanks in advance and I'll update either way.

Depending on soldering points, you might. Looking at those pictures, those look dead on for that. Obviously keycaps would have to go with, in either direction.
But I was talking about opening up the top of "regular" complicated alps and messing with internals.
The caps lock on the AEKII is some special complicated alps that does the same thing yours does apparently. I originally wanted to swipe it and use it in something else because it locking down while on is cool, but the apple board has to treat it in that spot differently because it wouldn't work otherwise.

I'm sorted for this, for now. Thanks everyone who offered. Wildcard was able to sort out switches and a price for me.
Thanks again
