Title: Removing PLU 87 Label with heat gun?

Got one coming in.  Has anyone had any luck removing the label off of a PLU 87 keyboard with a heat gun?  Or would that probably damage the keyboard?  Or can I just peel it off and hit he residue with some goo gone?
