Hey guys for sale I have the following for sale, located in Midlands, UK, so no import taxes for EU buyers! woop woop!
1) A 1987 IBM SSK - good all round condition, unfortunately has quite a deep scratch below the space bar. Also missing the @' keycap. Comes with SDL to PS2 cable. £131 inc. UK Postage - SOLD
Could be tempted by a trade for a KMAC 2.0 or similar, PM me!
Thanks, Fuus
-
Best of luck Fuus!
-
GLWS however FYI the new classified rules clearly said you must provide sale price else the post will be removed
-
care to quote it for me from the rules? I'm blind as a bat
-
Id love to see photos of the SSK! :thumb:

Not in effect yet but would help with photos.

-

-
Looks good, thanks!
-
Glad you like! I'll get some Ergodox pics up at some point tomorrow!
-
add prices yo
-
The rules are yet to come in to effect, and when I put them up for price check twice no one responded...
-
I'm located in the UK mate and that SSK looks really eniticing.
What price point would you be looking at?
Regards.
-
As I said to PMers, I have no idea what it's worth as no one replied to the price checks...
One guy PMed me and told me the blue numpad was particularly rare so who knows...
-
I would say it's worth about $150.
-
I will say I was offered a trade for a KMAC Happy for the SSK, which I turned down as I don't like 60%!
-
If you know that the rules for price are to be coming, and you have people requesting damn prices, why do you skirt around it? Just put some prices up.
-
Ok, starting prices are £220 for the SSK and £200 for the E-Dox, without postage which will be tracked and insured no matter what
Edit: it's my 18th birthday today, let's see a sale!
Thanks, Fuus

So is this the SSK your selling the one discussed in the above linked thread?
-
Prices too high.
-
Linked thread is indeed the same SSK, it has charecter!
I think that constitutes thread crap esoomenona...
-
I don't think it does, fuus. You're overcharging my community, and I feel compelled to let them know.
-
Care to suggest reasonable prices in GBP?
-
For the SSK, somewhere in the range of 150 GBP on the high end, and no end on the lower side. I won't give you a direct price (that's up to you, possibly with some help from a purchaser), but 220 GBP is too high, and 150 GBP might be as well.
For the ErgoDox, maybe somewhere in the range of 90-150 GBP. Depends on various aspects of it: fullhand or not, aluminum or not, etc.
-
Have you taken into consideration that import tax has been payed @20% + a bit?
I appreciate your help!
-
I haven't, but why should someone pay more than the market value of something because there was extra costs on your end?
-
Because everyone in the EU will have to pay them....
Obviously US buyers won't be interested, but the sale isn't aimed at them
-
happy birthday!
-
Thank you lcs :D
-
Bearing in mind esoomenona's recommendations I've lowered the prices to his highest + 20% without postage. Obviously PM me if you're interested and we can sort something out:
SSK - £180+postage
E-dox - £180+postage
Further information on the ErgoDox - It's a full hand, full acrylic case, with MX Reds
Thanks, Fuus
-
Too much for me, I'd rather just get a Topre.
GLWS.
Happy Birthday, ^_^.
P.s. A little tip, because of the high price of what you're offering and what not, you might want to include shipping as part of the deal because I saw a SSK go for like $150-175 and that's like what? 120-130GBP? so yeah.
It does seem like you're trying to sell it for more than you bought it for though, xD.
-
I couldn't personally get on with Topper, but each to their own eh?
Thanks bro!
I'm guessing that SSK was a) the other side of the Atlantic and b) had no had import tax payed on it. say you had bought it, it would've cost $~80 in shipping taking it to $255 which is £150 GBP, plus 20% import tax and £8 royal mail fee takes it to £188....
This SSK is already in the UK and available for quick dispatch! Of course there're some assumptions here, but it isn't a million miles out. Same kinda story with the E-dox
Thanks, Fuus

I'm searching for an ERGODOX perfectly-working, with no wrist part and not even the case if possible, "clicky"-type keys, I'm located in Spain, anybody has one to sell, which price ?
Actually I'm searching for a wrist-pain solution, I think that the ergodox can do the work by being able to position my hands in multiple positions comfortably
Thank you
-
Hey Thanatermesis,
Unfortunatly at this time I'm not willing to split the PCBs/Switches from the Case and I wish to sell it as a single item. It is however perfectly working! The MX Reds this keyboard has are not 'clicky'. The most 'clicky' switches are MX Blues!
Thanks, Fuus

I suggest you put it on ebay right away. You are way over your head with the price for a scratched board with missing caps. Even if it was in mint condition the board would not go for the $250 you are asking...
-
I have all the time in the world
Thanks, Fuus

omg, looking at his pictures, I didn't think Ergodox would be so big. It must be the acrylic wrist area.
Do you think ergodox might be slightly less ergonomic as a result of this setup? I think it requires you to sit closer to the desk because keys are located further from the desk edge.
-
The ergodox has since sold. I have quite a deep desk, so I had the keys themselves exactly the same distance from the edge as I do my Filco  obviously if you have a thin desk I think you'd be better off with a classic, but thats just my 2 cents!

Beautiful products. GLWS.

EDIT: just under 24 hours, I'm sorry, time zone was out on my PC...
-
I'm tempted. You say you're missing the @ key but it appears in your picture?
-
They are two part keys, only the top half is missing. You could order another from Unicomp if you so wished!
If you zoom in on the third image you can see it's missing. It's the key one to the left of enter, forgive me for confusing you with the 2 key. I think it's because I have my layout set to UK in control panel...
Thanks, Fuus

Ah yeah, I see that now. There is a terminal M floating around at work and I'm sure I can just take the cap off that.
Let me check my funds then I will send you a PM.
