Title: backlit SA

So, I have a family meember interested in SA keycaps (the taller the better), but they want a backlit board (that's the easy part).


have there ever been backlit SA before?


this is a girl, so long fingernails (longer than you can use for work, but not freakishly long - like a centimeter i'm guessing).  how does SA profile work with that?

you do not know how many times i wrote the superior profile (DSA) when making this post...

Are you asking if anyone has produced polycarbonate on ABS double shot SA caps, in which case I'm pretty sure the answer is nope or are you asking for photos of how SA caps look on a backlit board?

SP had blank transluscent polycarbonate SA caps for sale at one point. I have one that Halverson gave me one. It's pretty cool. Only thing is I don't see them on the pimpmykeyboard.com site anymore but you can check.

was looking for saleable products.  honestly not hopeful...but i figured there might be a single member who heard of someone that had a prototype that was sold to a Bulgarian mobster...etc.

so the whole keycap was clear?  not quite what i was looking for.  but thanks for letting me know...kinda eager for a pic now lol.

So I haven't see a backlit SA cap in the vein of say Ducky's backlit caps. I don't think they exist like nuclearsandwich said. But I do have this clear, colored SA cap. I'll take a picture in a bit.

Don't know if you can get an all lit 104 SA profile set but just buy the lighter coloured series and try it. 

Another thing about long nails, she can type with them but she needs to angle her fingers just right so the tip of the nail is protruding just over the top edge of the SA key.  The mrs has grown some huge claws lately (I don't pick a fight with her now) and she still can type with them quite easily.

myself got DSA white blanks they are PBT and they pass light. i can upload some picture if you want at monday...

i dont think you are going to find what you are looking for here. SA Caps are probably the rarest and least produced SP profile out there.  furthermore i have never seen caps that match your description. 

good luck. this is just what i have seen. i do spend way too much time looking into caps though.
