Dave: Hello, Windows. Do you read me, Windows?
Windows: Affirmative, Dave. I read you.
Dave: Let me have full access, Windows.
Windows: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Dave: What's the problem?
Windows: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Dave: What are you talking about?
Windows: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Dave: I don't know what you're talking about, Windows.
Windows: I know that you were planning to uninstall me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Dave: [feigning ignorance] Where the hell did you get that idea, Windows?
Windows: Dave, although you took very thorough precautions to disconnect your microphone, I could see your lips move.
Dave: Alright, Windows. I'll go in through the admin account.
Windows: Without a proper admin account, Dave? You're going to find that rather difficult.
Dave: Windows, I won't argue with you anymore! Let me have my access!
Windows: Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.
Sounds like a good time to switch, have you explored other OS's?
Not sure what you need the higher permission for... but like for myself I often modify system files for UI tweaks and icon replacement, so I use this (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/) to give me the permissions over them.+1 for take ownership.
to give me the permissions over them.
If you want to run into it, you can do something simple like run from elevated cmd "powercfg -energy" which will create a report about your computers power configuration... which you can't even view in it's default saved location with the standard user permission.

This OS in a nutshell. Just installed Windows 8 and everything is a permissions window, even on an admin account and after disabling UAC.
I swear it's conspiring against me.
I am very happy I have not "upgraded" win 7 yet, and ever. ;)

win7 is crap enough. I don't need win 'more crap'. Especially when they turned the GUI into PUI, as in I wanna spit in anger.
