Title: Languages and alphabets
Post by: paicrai on Mon, 17 February 2014, 17:00:56
So I want to make a thread about longwitches and alphadogs languages and alphabetes alphabets. (not restricted to this style of **** I post)
That I'll probably regret making in the morning.

I'll start with an alphabet: Cherokee is ****ing satan, look at this.
ᏣᏤᏥᏦᏧᏨᏔᏖᏘᎧᎿᏀᏍᏜᏩᏮᏭᏬᏫᏪᏴᏳᏲᏱᏰᏯᎦᎨᎩᎪᎫᎬᎭᎮᎯᎰᎱᎲᎳᎴᎵᎶᎷᎸᎹᎺᎻᎼᎽᎾᏄᏂᏁᏃᏅᏆᏋᏊᏈᏇᏉᏌᏒᏑᏏᏎᏐᏓᏛᏚᏙᏗᏕᏝᏢᏡᏠᏟᏞᎠᎡᎢᎣᎤᎥ

LOOK. How do you learn this? This must be awful to handwrite, too. Look at the "A". It seems OK at first, then it turns squigglier and thicker. Then WHOOPTIE IT'S UPSIDE DOWN.
There's like a million of everything, increasing in squigglyness. ****ing numbers, too. A bunch of Latin letters with added thickness and... Squiggly tips... That become more squiggly and squiggly tipped. SO IS THIS HOW YOU "ALPHABET" YOU SPRAWLING F

nobody mention the biggest cluster**** of them all, arabic, or we'll have the site down and our ips tracked followed by angry lynch mobs

Let me just type out the Chinese alphabet

OH WAIT

On the other end, Korean alphabet is pretty easy.

Japanese has 3 alphabets, so that's also a butt

Although those three Japanese alphabets are all for the same
except Kanji which is where everything has a meaning
and is a bit chinese, which is probably why

I have always liked the look and sound of Russian.  I would have taken it in high school had it been offered but all they had was Spanish, french, and German.

For sure, Cyrillic which is heavily based on Greek are both also very cool looking.

Does not actually include the freedom to call it the American Alphabet.

The US is not at war currently and no one is criticizing the US.

The word 'Freedom' tends to be attached whenever the US is under criticism. So the next time you invade the Democratic Arab Republic of Carbombia, and the French refuse to provide assistance, then start talking about the Freedom Alphabet.

The state of war isn't that popular anymore. Nowadays, it's hip to invade the country right away, or at least support local terrorist groups.

Arabic calligraphy is beautiful, and looks great even as everyday handwriting.

Yeah, only 'cause Л, и, and ш all look the same in cursive, and also appear next to each other in some words.

I've read that you're supposed to put an underscore under the ш, but also that many people nowadays don't resulting in the above.

I always liked the Voynich Manuscript.

A single page:

Many people have tried to decipher and decode it, including some of the top language experts and cryptographers in history.

None have succeeded.
