I would like to have a much higher pitch to my keycaps when they bottom out. K70 with Cherry MX reds.
I've seen the keycaps from Max Keyboard, and even ordered the sampler set to give them a try, but the pitch was exactly the same as far as I could tell. I also ordered a sampler from WASD keyboards, and it was the same thing.
Any suggestions? Having the light still shines through the letters would be a nice, but not required. I really enjoy the K70 but the keycaps just seem to be a little too "clunky," for lack of a better word.

For example, this guy shows pretty much what the K70 sounds like.

However, I'd prefer to really "lighten up" the pitch/keycaps, thus:

You're going to run into issues replacing the bottom row. There seems to be some nonstandard spacing on the caps there. AFAIK, there's no set that has that exact bottom row. Looks like the Alts are 1.2x, which is a very odd size. You could probably replace everything but the Alts.

Thank you. Pardon my ignorance, but what would I be looking for as far as shopping for "lighter" keycaps? ABS?
-
Well your caps are rubber coated ABS I think. You could try thin ABS or Cherry/GMK ABS.

OK - will investigate. Thank you and best regards!

Are the GMK ABS keycaps only available through group buys?

You can try to get them from Originative as well or in the classifieds. If you want that thick Cherry ABS, you can also harvest them from old Cherry boards sold on eBay. GMK and Cherry caps are the same molds, GMK just bought Cherry's old ABS molds.
I'm not sure where Sheraton is at the moment though (Owner of Originative) and I'm not sure what's going on with orders there.
