Title: Greetings from Denmark
Post by: boye on Thu, 20 February 2014, 08:10:23
Hello guys!

I'm a long-time geek, new keyboard lover on the search for my first 'proper' keyboard.
Currently on a Corsair K90, so definately nothing special.
Looking for the perfect combination fo my dreams, but having a hard time finding what I'm searching for, so I figured I'd become a whole lot smarter from reading the boards here (heh, pun, look at it, 'boards', that's funny because 'keyboards' hah, punny pun is punny...)
Looking forward to spending hours reading and finding info to make my first nice and awesome keyboard, having a lot if experience soldering electronics and alike, I figured it would be a good hobby.

My search right now has brought me upon a Ducky shine 3 TKL with Cherry MX browns (I like browns... Don't judge!) with some orange led's. I'm an audio designer who often work in dark enviroments, so backlight is essential for me for those dark moments.
I've searched far and wide for an aluminium case for it, but so far I've failed - proper sturdyness is key, since I will be throwing it in a bag often.

Advice on everything is met with great appreciation, and apologies for my not-so-perfect English, as a non-native speaker, it can be hard sometimes ;)

Have a great weekend! ;)

-Boye

Welcome to Geekhack! Good luck in your search for a Shine 3. Unfortunately, I don't think there are metal cases for that keyboard.

Thank you very much, looking forward to some informative and interresting reads :)

And I've started to figure, after searching a whole lot. Guess I will have to dust off the old CAD software and start myself :P
