I will have the money soon to buy a Ducky shine 3 but im wondering if i should save up a bit more so i can get a Happy hack. I've never tried topre switches and i really want to, I need something different. But people have told me not to send so much money in topre keyboards because there "glorified rubber domes". What do you think I should do?

I think you should look around and possibly read the dozens of other threads asking very similar questions :D

If you want to try Topre, go ahead and buy it. And then you can make your own decision on Topre switches. Do you. Plus HHKBs hold their value nicely if you decide to sell it.
-
Buy one.... If you don't like it return it and buy the other board... :p
I've never used a HHKB though... :'(

these two are way too different. Recommend that you do some homework. In general the HHKB fans are fanatically in love with their HHKBs more than the Ducky Shine fans love their Duckys. This may suggest something.
I personally don't use topre and don't like it.

Personally, I'd recommend the Shine because it's more sturdy. HHKB is nice, but I still can't get over how light it is. Feels like I'd break it if I left the house with it.

Read the HHKB Pro 2 Hate thread. Will save you money long term.

Why not both?
-
hhkb definitely.
If you want to get a shine3 , just wait until ducky let the price down..

Say, if you want to totally transform your typing experience,
I would say Cherry Mx blues are the most unique kind.
I just bought HHKB pro 2 as well. The first three days, the typing feel is quite unique, and dont get me wrong, it still is very unique to type on. But, i think blues are the most unique of all the keyswitches i tried so far: the super clickiness and tactility.

You'll never really know for sure what you prefer unless you try both. With that said, Topre isn't my cup of tea and I went back to cherry mx boards.

I'll promote the IBM Model F any time of day.

You should get the one you want the most if you can't afford both. Read up on the switches and take form factor and layout into consideration. What will fit you the most, TKL, full-size or 60% HHKB Pro 2 layout? Also remember there are Topre Realforce out there if you want 55g/45g/variable weights and TKL/full-size topre.
