Hi All,
Looking to buy 80-100 springs so I can turn my clears into ergo clears. I believe these are the same springs from browns, reds or blues?
Anyone know where I can get these from?
Thanks!

originative

I like 62g or 65g springs to make Ergo clears with. Some consider 55g too light, a few think it is just right but either way I think it depends on how you lubricate the stems. If you don't want to lube the stems then I would go with 62g springs probably. You can find 62g springs at originative and a couple other places. I think sprit might even be selling some springs.

They are NOT the same and you should not use stock red/brown/blue springs. Your clears will not be able to bump back if you do that.
There's an IC for GB for springs. You can get 62g springs from originative directly as well.

That’s a bit extreme, huh? Clear switches mostly work fine with red/brown/blue springs (don’t stick). A bit of lubricant would be more than enough to fix any occasionally sticking one.

PM me your shipping info and whether you want 55 62 or 65g. :D

A fellow Aussie! Thanks!

I chose 55, I like a light keyboard for speed, I'm actually pretty happy with browns on my ergodox, just thought I might like a bit more tactility and probably a bit more weight to help avoid bottoming out, so I bought clears for my next board.
I reckon clears with light springs should be just about perfect for me, at least judging by the descriptions that I've read on the net anyway...
Not sure how the korean springs differ from the stock clear ones though, anyone got a relevant link or info?

Korean Springs are based off of bottom out force. Browns are 60g bottom out force, so 55 is a bit lighter.

Wow, so those springs are lighter than browns, no wonder I read they sometimes have trouble coming back up. That'll be interesting with those springs and the tactility of the clears.

I'm hoping that spring IC gets to a group buy stage. Part of the appeal of clears is the big force ramp up at the bottom of the key travel, which is missing in the lighter weight "ergo" spring options. Replicating the force curve of clears, just at a lower level all the way through the stroke would be awesome.

I've changed my mind and gone for 65. 55's probably too light, if it's less than browns. I like the lightness, but find it a bit too easy to bottom out on browns. I wonder how much difference the tactile bump of clears will make?
Thanks Kayliss!

Originative out of 62g springs. Anyone know if the gold plated springs are high quality? Are they based on the Korean weighting? I figure gold springs would look nice on an ergo clear mod with transparent mx switch tops.

I really like 62g clears, but I also used some krytox to lube my stems, and victorinox on the top and bottom of the springs themselves. Supposedly if you do a teflon dry lube on the stems then 55g springs are fine and feel really nice. I might test out one ergo clear that way and see how I like it.
