Title: Internet explorer unsigned me each time I left GH site.
Post by: ideus on Tue, 25 February 2014, 10:39:30
Can someone give a tip on how to keep me signed in GH? Each time I open the site I need to enter my login and password. I know it should be a simple setting but I do not know which one.

For many reasons I was in need to discontinue Chrome. Any tips on this will be very welcome.

Even with the forever option, somehow IE bypassed it, what can I do?

Reset IE to default settings, clear your cache and try again?

Also Firefox as an alternative to chrome

You've never met Microsoft Windows (http://geekhack.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1912), have you?

Sorry I guess I should have put the word 'people' in bold, I mean real living humans ;) ;)

Unfortunately, there are still some business websites that require IE to be 100% functional. :/

LOL. I know guys we hate IE, but for my University policy now we should use IE for some basic stuff here, and I decided to give it a try again as my main browser. I have been using FF and Chrome for ages. Maybe I should use Chrome just for GH.

Just in case someone else runs with the same issue. The solution was to activate the option for autofill

I know it is kind of a mantra to hate IE at some places. I do not like it much either, but I have found with the latest iterations of IE, it is now faster, reliable, and most of the high safety sites like banks and corporate webs work flawlessly with it. I'd prefer to use a single browser for my needs, and FF or Chrome have always issues with some of my key sites like my university, some banking, and some government sites. I prefer to be pragmatic, than to be a default hater of stuff, so I am trying it now.
