Title: Noppoo Choc Mini - keycap issues.
Post by: Fragil1ty on Tue, 25 February 2014, 20:08:53
I've only just noticed this since re-applying the keycaps back onto my Noppoo, but the f + j key are on different levels than the other keys.

Is this apparent on any one elses Noppoo or is this just mine? I've got other keycaps that I could replace them with, but that's not the point really, I love noppoos keycaps :(

Press harder on all keys till all keycaps are on the same level. Or you can use a chain-pump like all OEMs do.

All the keys are pressed down completely, I made sure of that, it's just annoying. It's a little bit of a pet peev of mine, I don't want to switch to new keycaps really.

Kind of annoying.

Keycaps are never on the same level so perfectly. Curved keycaps and staggered layout just skew the view even further.

You can learn to touch type, then you will not look at the keycaps again.

If it's just the F and J keys, it's probably a small error in the molds for the keys with the nubs. You can try something like this though to fix it: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=42450.0

I would assume it was intentional, much in the way of how Cherry F J have a deepdish scoop, they only did the same thing with less elegance.

Are you sure? That is only intentional? We can do perfect, no error. I worried about round 3 if this issue happen :(

Perhaps it something Noppoo requested? Other Plum made keyboard do not have it this way.
