Well here's the NIB naked Industrial M. I added the light blue caps (I *might* order more, but I also don't want to "overdo" it). The crappy photo doesn't do the colour contrast justice.

The sage scrollpoint pro was only $15, it was just hard to find; took four years of waiting. As usual collectors don't know anything about IBM's coolest products, so there's no competition when they do pop up. Good thing I'm not a collector.
Inside the box the SSK manual was included (which had a stripeless filled in IBM logo on the back, strange?)
The whole auction was bizarre. I'm never buying another Model M on ebay. I'll try to sort out the fact it doesn't have a badge later. May be able to rework a larger badge in there.
Yeah... that's pretty much it.

Did you read either the title of his post or any of what he wrote?

Well I've never heard of a "naked" M

Here's the discussion for the keyboard he won. (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=54340.0)

Ah, thanks. Confused this one with the one that that scrapper scavenged. Must have never read the end of that thread where everythingIBM was said to be the winner

Thanks for posting about your board. Are you as happy with it as you thought you'd be?
I'd say don't be afraid of eBay, but definitely read fohat.digs' post about eBay buying and selling in the great finds sub, if you haven't already. He has some great advice.

One thing that I really enjoy about this SSK, is that its earlier IBM springboard is *very* harmonic like an '86 model M. I was not expecting it to be like that-- given that it was manufactured in '92.
Also-- is it normal for Industrial SSKs to have a grounded space bar? (you know, like some greenocks that had their spacebar grounded with that braided wire). Because this one has that.

Wow, that's interesting. I've never had an industrial M of either type, so I don't know if grounding straps are a regular feature of them. I guess it makes sense, since the industrial computers were meant for places like factory floors.
