I just ordered a set of keys for my QFR from WASD, and I'm now realizing that it the set doesn't come with a windowed caps lock key for the LED underneath. Does anyone know where I can grab something like that alone? I've looked for them in all of the sellers from this forum. I'd also be okay with a semi-translucent keycap as it would still allow me to see that caps lock was on.
Thanks in advance.

Hmmm.... Maybe you can just, you know... cut window for the led yourself?

You can drill a very small hole in the keycap for the LED, and (optionally) fill the hole from the backside with clear epoxy.
A few of us have done that and it looks fine. Search for the thread; I and a couple of others posted how-to guides.

p.s. I mean very small. 1mm or 1/16". Otherwise you will have an LED shining a beam straight into your optic nerve. Ouch! Such pain. So need a small hole!

Yep. That what i meant. And yes, small holes are the best... in this case and many others :)

I may try it with one of my older keys first. Maybe with the stock QFR cap that has awful font on it. :))
Thanks for the info!

That's the point of it. Practice on something you can allow to destroy :)
