Hey guys,
I already have a Filco Majestouch-2 Ninja with Brown Switches at home. (Waiting for Round5 Caps 8-) )
Now I want to buy a Tenkeyless for my Office, it should be Tenkeyless and i need the ISO german layout.
The WASD v2 or Filco both would cost me 170€, and they are the only ones who would fit my needs.
But I can't decide if the custom keycaps of WASD wouldn't be nicer than the filco standard caps.
What is your opinion in this issue? Is plate mounted really louder than pcb mounted (need a silent board, mxred/brown)
Thx!

I have a WASD V2 but haven't had a Filco so far. The WASD V2 feels solid and has been working fine for me for the past few months. Custom keycaps are really cool, but unfortunately the ABS caps are so thin that you'll most likely want to replace them soon afterwards. There are a lot more aftermarket parts available for Filco, such as programmable controllers and aluminum cases.

WASD Keycaps and Filco OEM caps are pretty comparable to each other, neither are that good and will start to show shine relatively quickly with continued use. In terms of build quality, they're both very good, but many people, including myself, would probably still give Filco the edge. I would go with whichever you can get cheaper since you probably wouldn't notice any major difference between the two. WASD Keyboards come with a detachable cable, so that might be a little more convenient for you, but they'll both come with plate mounted switches.

I would say FILCO. Take it with a grain of salt though, because FILCO's are my favourite keyboards from those i tried (I tried only MX boards).
Also, i can easily imagine a FILCO in a working enviroment, whereas i can't imagine a WASD with custom caps in a working enviroment.

I just realized, that i could get a WASD v2 with Barebones and use my old filco keys which i will replace with the round5 keys.
So i could spare 40 euros.
Anyone had a WASD v2 'ping' issue, like it is known from filco boards?
Still hard to decide :-\

Or how about the Cooler Master Storm Quickfire Stealth? It could look pretty good in the office i think... but how is the quality? I'm just concerned to find replacement key caps because of the single LED caps for capslock and num. (I also could get a ducky, but how will I be able to replace the led shine through caps?

You don't need windowed keycaps unless you buy thick/dark keycaps.
QF stealth is fairly solid. Mine bends more than my Filco, I think the plate is thinner.

I like the WASD V2, hardware based key remapping like multimedia keys and the ability to change the caps lock to to ctrl which is pretty nice. I have no pinging issues with it.

Backlit caps are generally a bit expensive and not the greatest of quality. You can use non-backlit caps with a backlit board though, and unless you specifically want the lights to shine through the legends, it looks pretty decent.

I think I will get one of these g2pro from ducky, they look amazing, have better stabilizers and pbt engraved keycaps in german layout. So what more can I expect :)
