I will appreaciate your feedback on the selection of a nice wireless mouse for general computing, nothing fancy, no gaming, no graphics or 3D design either. One characteristic I need the most is fast scrolling for GH browsing, and the likes. I do not have special requirements on ergonomy. I use a Fellowes keyboard tray that has its own right hand mouse pad, so no need for a sensor that runs on glass for example. I do not need rechargable batteries, but I'd like to change them as few as possible.
Any advice will be very welcome.

Costing in the $80 dollar range would be the Logitech Performance Mouse MX

The Marathon looks cool and its batteries last very long. I'd be my first choice.

A friend has just complained that M705 has ridiculous lag and he doesn't even play games with it.
If I had to go with something wireless, it'd be Logitech M570. I love trackballs for scrolling (hold a button + rotate the ball).

I have not considered a trackball. I will check that out.
