Title: New Dell Standard Keyboard
Post by: itlnstln on Fri, 27 March 2009, 09:15:34
A few people at work just got new Dell laptops and docking stations.  The new (external) keyboard that is coming with these Dells is actually pretty nice.  They are scissor switch 'boards, but they are very crisp.  I was setting up some software on one of these laptops and used the 'board for quite a while.  While I don't think they are any "buckling rubber sleeves" the IBMs had, they were certainly the best scissor switch keyboards I have ever used.

Is this (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=310-8038) the one you are talking about?  There are some floating around at my work, but I haven't tried one out.  I may have to duck in someone's cube and do so, if that is the one you are referring to.

Too bad the picture sucks.

The new Dell mice suck the big one, though.  They are way too small; they're only a little bigger that laptop external mice.

Ah, that looks more like a scissor-switch board.  I haven't seen those before.  I'll keep my eyes open.
