I've been a long-time user of older mechanical keyboards (mainly the Dell AT101) as well as several generations of rubber domes (Dell, Apple, Logitech, etc... ). Though I haven't done any real mods, I'm currently tearing down one of my AT101s in order to clean it (retrobrite the keys and maybe lube the switches). I've never been a fan of mice; trackballs are more my speed. I've managed to keep a pair of Logitech Trackman Marble FXs working since I bought them new many years ago (though one now needs a new switch for the left button). I came across this forum while searching for newer keyboards (I'm liking the CM QuickFire XT w/ Browns, but also like that the Duckies have 4 extra keys above the numberpad). The info on GH has already been helpful in getting to know the different types of keyboards (and switches) that are out there.

Welcome to GH! I was introduced to the Alps switch through the Dell AT101W keyboards so I have a soft spot for them.

Welcome. I had a Focus 2001 board with cream stems alps and I liked it.
