Title: Question about DK2087
Post by: Harms on Sun, 23 March 2014, 12:01:05
Hi everyone I was just wondering if this keyboard has back lighting, http://products.ncix.com/detail/ducky-dk2087-zero-red-switch-37-90672-1374.htm. The picture that ncix has up is wrong, its actually a tkl board; thank you.

From what I have been able to determine, the ducky zero TKL is not backlit.

The keycaps do not appear to be backlight-compatible, and other vendors do not list backlighting as an option

The only backlit keyboard from the Ducky Zero series is the Zero DK2108S.

The DK2108 only has 4 backlit keys (Caps Lock, Num Lock, Scroll Lock, and F12).  As BlueBar said, the only member of the Zero family to have full board backlighting is the DK2108S (S for Shine).  I don't know if they make a TKL variant.  The Ducky superkey and spacebar icon is different on the S version.  It looks like Zero Duck but with a little angler fish glowing bob on it's head.

Good luck on your search.  :)

Ducky is full size, QFR is not.

Both are good reliable boards.

It comes down to whether you need the numeric keypad or not.

pretty sure the full size image is a mess up on ncix's part

In the Ducky part number DK2108 (auoted above), the "108" part refers to 108 keys i.e. the standard 104 keys plus the Ducky extra four function keys.
