Title: Ergodox, Issue after building ben's firmware
Post by: nacitar on Tue, 25 March 2014, 22:36:44
So, just cloning master from ben's firmware on github, I've tried building it with bone stock defaults on both linux (gentoo) and on windows.
I used avr-gcc on linux, and I used winavr on windows.  i built both using simply "make" in the src directory.
In both cases, I flash the generated .eep and then the .hex to the ergodox, and after flashing the .hex the ergodox reboots and has all 3 leds illuminated, and no input works.
If I look in device manager on windows, I get a "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" and it shows as a USB Input device.

If I use the firmware files from the massdrop configurator, it works fine.  If I use the TMK firmware I built myself on gentoo, it also works.  I just can't get ben's firmware to work when building from master.  Is it in a broken state or something, or am I doing something wrong?

I figured it out, I had to uninstall the driver in device manager for some reason.
