Title: Replacing the USB port on an RK-9000
Post by: mouse.the.lucky.dog on Fri, 28 March 2014, 22:23:09
My RK-9000's port just went belly up. Looking around I see that it is not an uncommon occurance.
I would like to order replacement ports from Amazon ( mainly because I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket ).
I am however not certain of the replaement part itself.

This seems to be right:
http://www.amazon.com/Right-B-Type-Female-Solder-Connector/dp/B00FHMI558/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1396059847&sr=8-3&keywords=mini+usb+pcb+right
except that it has 4 legs not two, so I will have to amputate two legs.

This however is described as a type B port, and I've seen on another thread that the port is type AB. So is this the correct port?
