Title: Thicker keycaps = less tactile bump?

I thought about something interesting: if a thicker caps (PBT ,double shots etc...) are used with tactile switches, will the tactile feedback be less pronounced that using thin ABS caps?

I find it to subdue the bump but in a good way, rather than hitting the bump hard, it's sort of smoother, paired with a stronger spring, it makes the stem jump back up with more force, making this feel stronger. For me it's like driving on a smoother speed-bump, rather than a sudden one, and coming down the bump (Up in case of switch) more smoothly.

In general, it changes the sound a bit (thin ABS keycaps sound flimsy, with a cheap hollow sound), and changes the texture of the top / how solid it feels, but has little impact on the feel of the keystroke proper. I.e. the tactile feedback should be basically the same.
