Now that I got your attention,

I just got a Topre  Realforce 104UG "High-Profile" and the F and J keys got no nipples. I'm so used to have them - I'm lost and keep crying like a baby.

Damn these caps looks good... aren't they?

What would be clean and elegant ways to nipplyfied the F and J keys?

I was thinking of a drop of clear Epoxy or even filing a small vertical line in the middle of the lower edge.

Google tells me this: :)


1. Arrange the gems on the nail keycap surface, experimenting with the nail keycap arrangement until you get a design you like.
2. Remove the stones and dab the fingernail keycap with gem glue.
3. Place the gems on the fingernail keycap in the arrangement you chose.
4. Cover the nail keycap with a clear nail glue to seal your design. Allow your glue to dry completely before touching the nails keycap.

In the mail - Hooleon home row bumps stickers.

Not sure if the round surface will allow the stickers to stick properly. But at that cost, it certainly worth a shot.

I've also read other success stories with the epoxy approach.

I think the gems will come off after a while of typing. The glue they provide won't be that strong, so you might want to upgrade to something a bit better.

Heck, I didn't notice the scooped F and J keys on Cherry G80 keyboards until someone told me...

Yeah, I have scooped F and J keys on my KMAC and you get used to them eventually.  The nipples are nicer though, I think.  I do like the clean look of them.  I guess as always it all comes down to personal preference!

Just goes to show that everyone is different.  I can find scoops so much easier than I can find the - or . shaped nubs.  I wish all cap sets offered scoops as an option.

i thoughr scoops were the worst idea ever until i was forced to use them with dsa caps.  it was love at first touch and i never for a moment had trouble using them.

i still get the appeal of dashes, but scoops are noticably better for me.

That guy sounds more african than anything.

And the girl doesn't sound English at all - my first thought was French, but too many words do not sound French.  Maybe Scandinavian, or one of those European countries?

asdf and jkl; have deeper grooves than the other keys on the 104 ug.
You're supposed to use those as indicators to home row rather than the standard dots on the f and j keys.

nah.  I just typed the on the googles box for "bewbs, boobs and b00bs", and I found some stuff that made want to suckle like a baby, so it's all gud.

One Solution
I was just given instructions to pass this along: Look into decorative fingernail appliques.
You may find a smallish whatever that you can easily affix to the two keys.

uhm. I too also have a realforce 104ug.
had it for not too long, 2 weeks? Somewhere alone those lines.
and after a day or two I can easily place my fingers on the homerow without looking down at the keyboard.
You probably can't tell by pictures, but the spherical grooves on the home row keys "asdf/jkl;" are actually quite deep and have a really noticeable feel.
Haven't had an issue with finger misplacement.
I dun get what's the big deal.

Then guilt started to built with this permanent destructive approach. I wrote to a couples of distributors hoping to find replacement F and J caps in the very probable case that I want to get rid of it.

Counting in my head - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - Sigh... Ok - I'm not going break this expensive keyboard on your head.
But it was a close call and would have been worth the price I paid for this board.

That fancy Topre High Profile was tempting though. According to its maker, the special design allows to deliver a more accurate punch.
