Hi,
nice to find you here. I have a question. I tried to disassembly my CM Storm Trigger Z but after finding 4 screws, I hit a dead end and I couldn't find any other screws in order to get a look in the inside?

Did you managed to disassembly this keyboard ? I've juste received it today and it looks fantastic. The first TRIGGER was COSTAR, but this one I don't know. Some people on this forum says the OEM is the same as the TK bu I don't think so .. If we could open it, we may have an answer.

If there is a QoS sticker, there may be another screw under it; a lot of plastic keyboard cases are held together with slotted tabs as well as screws, so if you slide something like a credit card or butter knife under the edges of where the case meets you should get them to pop out (there should be at least several; 2~3 along the front edge and 2~3 along the back edge).

Cool, but are you 100% sure they aren't Costar look-a-like stabs like the ones in the Razer Blackwidow, made by iOne?

Good point BUT CM has NEVER used iOne. They aren't gonna compromise quality on a high-end board. They're not razer

Iirc, the original CMStorm Quickfire Pro was manufactured by iOne. They stated that they would never use iOne as a manufacturer again after complaints, but I think the new Quickfire Ultimate is being manufactured by them (iOne).

Thanks for your answer. Do you have also a trigger Z ? The keyboard is very well built but it seems the quality of the plastic (non rubberized) is below the quality of the first trigger (my first mechanical keyboard). That's why I was not sure it was made from Costar.
Do you see the little imperfections on the detachable wrist rest ? It seems (under a bright light) that the rubberized plastic on the wrist is not very homogeneous ... (it's difficult to explain, it seems darker at certains points on the wrist but only visible under a light)

I do have a trigger-z right now. The plastic is rubberized by the way ...

Pro is indeed by iOne but the new Ultimate is not.

The plastic on my wrist is rubberized too but here are some pictures in order to describe my problem ... The appearance of the rubberized plastic (especially the plastic of the wrist) is different from my old trigger, seems to be poor quality, not a beautiful homogeneous rubberized plastic.

Not after using it ... Cooler master answers me, it's because they use a new coat, same as the rapid, different from the first trigger : better quality but different appearance.

have you managed to dissassemble the keyboard? If yes, could you please describe the process (where the screws and latches are)?

Ok, so I grew impatient and decided to give it a go.
I managed to open it.
The dissassembly process is as painful as dissassembling a CM Rapid I since it is mostly held together by latches.
Beyond the four screws, everything else are latches.
The latches are easily spoted and here's how. If you look along the ridge, you can see strips where the plastic is glossy. Those are the places where the latches are.
I'll post photos later, for future refference.
