I can not boot into windows 7 7068 with a ps2 keyboard plugged in.
I get this error message until I unplug it and re boot with a USB board.
Any keyboard plugged into the ps2 socket causes this error.
Its not fun at all :(

Just booted with one of each plugged in and it seems OK so far WTF?

It's a beta. I'd look for the canonical forum on microsoft.com. Maybe the developers don't know about it yet and would be happy about a bug report?
-
Good idea. You should let them know.
-
I will I will.
Its an odd error.
Im surprised there is not more about it online.
Perhaps all the beta folk use USB.
-
Could be a specific bug with your chipset, too. Or maybe even your specific motherboard.
-
I've had no problems with Win 7 and any of my keyboards. I'd say its either a problem with hardware, or Windows 7 has a problem with your hardware.
-
Its very possible as the USB can be a bit odd on this mobo.
Its an Asus crosshair AMD board.
With my HH I have to press the keys loads of times after boot before it will input.
In any OS.

What is causing that? Is it some hardware incompatibility problem? As a Mac guy, since the company is so tight assed about it's products, I go to the store and buy stuff, bring it home and it just works with all my other Apple products. That is my favorite thing about Apple, and why I'll never switch.

Could be buggy drivers, faulty hardware, etc., etc.
-
Its the only keyboard that has ever done it.
The white one I had did it too.
My guess would be its the motherboard.
It can be a little odd some times.
I will swap it for a new socket soon anyway.

Which build of Windows 7 are you using?
-
The latest one.
7068 64bit.
:)
-
im running that one as well and i have no problems with my space saver directly plugged as ps2.
-
actually there is one sure way to find out get a ps2 keyboard which has complete n-key rollover and plug it in if the keyboard can't recognise over 7 keys it is probably your motherboard using a ps2 to usb adapter @_@
-
I had a 48 key input from the marquardt :)
-
Then its probably a windows 7 issue then or chipset compatibility. But you could say windows may stop supporting these ps2 devices altogether. Not that I care so much I never have more than 6 fingers depressing a keyboard at any one time. Just log the issue with microsoft and hope it gets sorted by release or maybe by sp1 at the latest.
edit : just saw you said you used sharp keys with windows 7 maybe this is an issue?
-
i wonder why they didn't write the spec for 8 or 9 keys instead of 6... then they'd cover pretty much all practical rollover scenarios
