Title: Cherry G80-3000 - Double spaces
Post by: CX23882 on Tue, 07 April 2009, 03:52:21
Ever since getting this board I've noticed that I occasionally get a double space. None of the other keys do this.

Has anybody else seen this behaviour and any ideas as to what might be causing it?

Which key response do you have? Judging from the force displacement diagrams, clicky (blues) should do best in terms of bounce resistance, followed by soft (clear) and finally linear (black).

It has the blues, but the space bar is green.

You could always try swapping the guts of the switch with one of the others (like Pause/Break) to see if it helps.  There might be something loose in the switch that might be triggering the switch mulitple times.  I wonder if something is triggering it on the downstroke and the upstroke.
