Title: Does anything like this exist?
Post by: divito on Wed, 02 April 2014, 23:58:52
While I enjoy TKL size, efficiency in personal tasks beckon for number pad usage. So I kind of imagined an amalgamated orientation where I could have what I wanted. So I pose, does anything similar to this this exist? I anticipate having to get this custom-made as part of continual wallet hack.

If you haven't seen the Quickfire TK or Plum 87 (I think that's what it's called), they have that layout except with a 00 key, and it acts as part of the arrow keys when nun lock is off, while the keys in the third/fourth row act as the navigation cluster. An excellent layout, in my opinion.

EDIT: Looked closer, it's pretty much the exact same except everything is one row lower and the pause/stuff is on the upper row.
EDIT 2: Nice pi post!

As stated in the previous post coller master quickfire tk uses this layout and comes with mx blues, reds or browns:

http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products/keyboards/quickfiretk/ (http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products/keyboards/quickfiretk/)

You did not say anything about switch preference but as I said you have some choices with the quickfire tk.

Just a suggestion, please don't make a post if it's exactly what someone else is saying, as it doesn't contribute to the discussion.

A picture of your layout instead of a link to that site would've sufficed...

Anyway, I'm not sure what you think about not having space in between sections as you posted, but what do you think of the lightsaver: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=53942.0

OP, you might be interested in the PLUM 96 keyboard as well.

I personally liked the Quickfire TK when I tested it out (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=46950.0).

Is there a keyboard with the numpad, but with no function row?

Some older Apple keyboards have that like the M110A

I was thinking about making my own like that out of a GH60+GHpad whenever I can get my hands on both.

It would be my dream layout.

@OP if you find a keyboard with this layout that you like let me know, also same province/country homies. ;)

This is exactly what I'm looking for however can't find a quickfire TK with browns and white leds, as most come in red or blue switches with equivalent leds. Definitly excited for lightsaver v2, and I might buy a plum as a temp board as it's pretty cheap.

You already know that all TKs with Browns come with white LEDs, right?
