Title: Case modding - dk9008 SHINE 3

Hey guys, ive done some soldering mods before but  this would be the first time im doing a case mod. I want to change the color of it to something like a alluminum blue, but im not sure where to start since I dont know the material that is on these keyboards.

Any suggestions on how to start? I know generalyl youd need to sand it, but what grade? and what spray paint?
