Title: Opinion on IBM keyboard
Post by: tecla.efe on Tue, 08 April 2014, 17:13:13
Hi. I'm looking for mechanical keyboards in my country, but they're very rare, and due to custom's policies now is becoming difficult and very very expensive to buy abroad. I found a cheap IBM keyboard (for some terminal) on sale here (http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-500500787-teclado-ibm-model-m-para-terminales-1390250-_JM (http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-500500787-teclado-ibm-model-m-para-terminales-1390250-_JM)) but it says it comes without any wires and it only has a proprietary connector. Is this one really a mechanical? Do you know what kind of connector does it probably have? Will it work on a new computer?

The 1390250 is a 122 key terminal keyboard, not a 102 as shown in that picture.

Here's a thread (in spanish no less) with people discussing this, and it has that same exact picture of the 102 in your listing:
