Not a bad price if you'll never need to use the pause/break key, or have the patience to fix it.
-
it'd be a very easy fix. If anyone here gets it, I'll mail them a spring if they want.
-
Damnit one turns up in my price range (and probable within my technical capabilities to fix) during a month where I have much higher than normal expenses, and the Granite set to try to buy too :(
AND a CC 420 sale.
AND a BroBot 420 sale.
Oh fate, why are you so cruel?
Edit: Also the seller only has 1 feedback.

This can be a source of bargains, not necessarily a red flag.

Looks like he has bolted the bottom row. Wouldn't that cause problems with it sitting right the case?
The guides (like Sandy's) say not to use bolts there, either do nothing or use self-tapping flat head screws instead.

There are some little plastic ridges that can be snipped with wire cutters. A few little 3mm squares to make room for the nuts.

Think I'd rather either reverse the bolts on the row or pull them out completely and let the case clamp the assembly together the way it does normally which can be a snug fit (or made more snug by putting something inside the bottom of the case - few sheets of paper, plastic, etc.).

Or do a screw mod with flat heads for that row (like phosphorglow and avid collector do all over).

Have you seen an early 1985 board where it is suppose to have a piece of poly foam doing exactly this?

Not that I can recall. You know of one? Is it missing the rivets in the bottom row?

Sorry for being unclear - I was referring to this part of what you said "putting something inside the bottom of the case"
There are suppose to be early 1985 Model Ms with poly foam under the plate supporting it. Anyhow it is OT.

When did this place become a stickler about OT-ness? Where did you hear this?
Some M's have foam under the controller board.
