Nice.  Those UV 3D printers are awesome.  Too bad the design wouldn't translate well to casting without a multi-part mold.

this might be printable with taulman t-glase. would be interesting to try. it would need HIPS support, which makes things a bit weird, as i have no idea whether HIPS is shrinkage or chemically compatible with t-glase, but who knows, could work!

taulman's new "bridge" nylon copolymer is also quite interested, as it is semi-translucent and much stronger than even their 645 material. (t-glase is basically translucent, with tensile unknown)

I don't think there's any way to make these cheaply and since I have to paint them by hand I don't think I'll be doing a group buy. I might sell them, but I haven't really thought about it yet.

Well, now that you've got everybody excited, you can't just leave them hanging!

I am not a Cherry user (although I would consider getting one for my son if they weren't too much) but many people are.

You can give them away at cost, or charge top dollar and position them as hard-to-get desirable specialty art items.

Certain people pay silly money for this stuff, I say charge a lot and make some money!

I agree I would happy more than happily pay for this plus the time you put into it as they are super awesome, also that keyset that is a great keyset would love to have that >_>

But again great work, will we see a ? Block soon O: that would be cool or Yoshi Egg or a Boo key Boo key :D

Okay I will stop rambling bye!

I could easily make a Topre model, as well, I'd just need to get my hands on a Topre keycap. (I don't have any, sad to say).

The mystery block, brick block and mario are all three in production. I opted to get Mario gold plated, so that one takes quite a bit longer. I have a ton of other ideas as well, and I'd welcome ideas (as you've all shared).

I'm kind of excited about the brick block because the paint color doesn't exist for what I want, so I get to do some mixing. Experimenting is fun!

Also, my modded Poker II just arrived, so I'll have an LED pic up tonight (unless the person who soldered my PCB ruined it, in which case I will cry a lot).

Uh.... I guess I could do an interest check to see how interested people would be in me selling them in small quantities...

There are far more Cherry and Topre users out there who are proven to spend a lot more money, but buckling spring and Alps users are bereft of most choices and would probably be more grateful.

Escape and arrow key alternatives are probably the most obvious choices for custom keys.

I think that looks stunning, of course when it's lit up it doesn't have that Mario special yellow, but eitherway the art is beautiful, and it gives it it's own "unique quality" I would be interested in purchasing the key caps of course, as I need to start a collection. :)

you may try to combine more caps together in the same model (using junctions) to try to slightly reduce pricing

This reduces handling costs, but causes me to have to pre-order in large quantities, which is something I can't really afford to do. I will only do this for sets and Limited Runs that are printed.
